The Australian Federal Government's Office of Climate Change recently released a White Paper providing details on a proposed Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme. At this stage, the government intends to implement the scheme by 2010, and further specific design elements of the scheme include an itintial 5% reduction target by 2020 and a $25 per tonne equivalent carbon price.
